    Description

LED ZEPPELIN 1972 Japan Reproduction Concert Poster
This is a high quality lithograph reproduction concert poster for Led Zeppelin's shows at the Budokan in Tokyo, Oct 2 & 3 1972. Zep sold out all the concerts of their 72 Japan tour and played amazing shows for their ecstatic fans. The success of Led Zeppelin's early years was dwarfed by this period spanning most of the decade in which the band released their best selling albums and ascended to the pinnacle of musical success. The band's image also changed as members began to wear elaborate, flamboyant clothing and they developed a reputation for off-stage excess which became the subject of many of rock's most famous stories of debauchery. During this tour, the band introduces some radical changes to its live shows. John Paul Jones begins using the mellotron on a few songs (including Stairway to Heaven) as well as a stand up bass, and Jimmy Page begins using the Gibson double-neck. Having just finished Houses of the Holy, they also introduced a long overdue overhaul of their set list. This excellent reproduction measures approx. 13 x 19" and is in mint condition. FREE handbills included!
